Our experience
This has to be one of the most hated on taco spots I’ve come across online, and frankly, I don’t understand why.
The biggest complaint? The prices.
But here’s my question: Is $4.25 really that outrageous for a taco stuffed with carne asada grilled over charcoal right in front of you?
We’re not talking about some sad little scoop of meat here. These tacos are LOADED. And I don’t mean Chipotle sized portions, but there’s enough meat that you’ll actually find yourself using that second tortilla they give you. If you know, you know.
My girl and I ordered about seven tacos between us, and we walked out full, satisfied, and wondering what all the hate was about.
Is it the cheapest taco in Vegas? Absolutely not. But cheap and worth it aren’t always the same thing.
And for me? This place is worth it.
What we tried
Two Carne Asada Tacos: Fresh off the charcoal grill, smoky, juicy, and generously packed with meat. Con todo, of course.
Two Tripas Tacos: Crisped to perfection, with a satisfying crunch on the outside while maintaining that tenderness inside. Con todo.
Two Adobada Tacos: Beautifully charred edges, crispy bits, and plenty of flavor in every bite. Con todo.
One Buche Taco: For those who appreciate the less conventional cuts. Sometimes the best parts of a taco menu are the ones people overlook. Con todo.
Seven tacos between two people, and we left completely satisfied.
Before you go
One thing I won’t lie about: timing makes a huge difference here.
From my experience, the sweet spot is somewhere between 4 PM and 7 PM. That’s when I’ve found the experience to be at its best.
Now, if you’re planning to stop by after the clubs let out, when half of Vegas is looking for something to eat after a night of drinking, don’t be surprised if you walk away hating this place.
The crowds, the wait, and the overall chaos can completely change your experience. And frankly, I think that’s where some of the negative reviews come from.
My advice? Go before the late night rush. Give yourself a chance to actually enjoy the food instead of fighting the crowds for it.
